Acceptable use

Your responsibility

You are responsible for every file, link, message and other item you upload, store or share. You must own it or have every permission and lawful basis needed to use and distribute it.

Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use GetMyFiles for:

• unlawful content or activity, or facilitating crime;
• child sexual abuse material, child sexual exploitation or grooming — we apply zero tolerance;
• unlawful terrorism content or violent extremist material;
• non-consensual intimate imagery or unlawful sexual content;
• fraud, phishing, scams, credential theft, impersonation or deceptive schemes;
• malware, ransomware, spyware, botnet payloads or other malicious code;
• copyright, trade mark or other intellectual-property infringement, including piracy;
• unlawful disclosure of personal, private, confidential or secret information;
• credible threats, harassment, blackmail, extortion, trafficking or exploitation;
• unlawful weapons or controlled substances; or
• anything else that violates applicable law or another person's rights.

Platform abuse

You must not send spam, scrape the service, probe or gain unauthorised access, overload infrastructure, evade limits or technical controls, use bots to create abusive traffic, interfere with others, or help anyone do so.

How we may respond

Depending on the circumstances, GetMyFiles may warn a user, disable a link, restrict access, quarantine or remove prohibited material, suspend or terminate an account, preserve relevant records, and report or cooperate with lawful authorities where required or permitted by law. We may act urgently where safety, security or legal risk requires it. These powers do not promise that every file is proactively reviewed.
